Squads will be divided by grade level. Squads will be made up of participants between the grade level of 1st - 7th, unfortunately we no longer offer kindergarten cheer. Squad age division shall be defined as the grade the participant would be in on September 1st of the upcoming season.The participant has the option to request to cheer one grade level above or below as the grade the participant would be in on September 1st of the upcoming season.If a cheerleader has a natural or step-sibling or other family member playing football or cheering on a squad level that is 1 level above or below them, they can request to cheer with/for him/her. Returning cheerleaders can also request to cheer with a coach/team they have cheered for in the past as long as they are in the same age division. The SYSPC Board will have the final decision on all squad requests. If you see NO coach next to your child's grade level we are still working on securing volunteers for the 2017 cheer season and would love to have you volunteer, also depending on number of girls registered squads may be divided in to two squads.
